The Limestone plateau of Blandas (Causse de Blandas) was populated in very ancient epoch.
However, it's in the Neolithic that begins the building of megalithic monuments.
Constructed with slabs of limestone or dolomite, these are more than 60 megaliths and notably several cromlechs
Nice and imposing passage tombs dolmens are visible as the dolmens of Planas, les Arques, Serre de la Tune...
Menhirs are in equal number with dolmens. Nice menhirs, often fallen on the soil, deserve visit : Sotch des Genièvres (4.80 m) Bouscas (3.60 m), Serre de la Gléisa (3 m), Avernat, Combes, Travers des Noyers (4.50 m), Landre 1 & 2 ... The plateau of Blandas, forgotten by the men, and its megaliths merit your visit.
